Your doctor's appointment starts before you even arrive at the office. 📋
Having the right information ready can help your urologist better understand your health and make the most of your appointment.
Before your visit, prepare:
✔️ A list of your symptoms and when they began.
✔️ Previous PSA test results, MRI scans, or biopsy reports.
✔️ A list of all medications, vitamins, and supplements you take.
✔️ Your personal and family medical history.
✔️ The three questions that matter most to you.
Do you tend to forget important details during your appointment? Bring your questions in writing or consider asking a family member or trusted friend to come with you and take notes.
The National Institute on Aging also recommends setting your priorities before the visit, bringing an up-to-date list of your medications and dosages, and having a family member or friend accompany you if it would be helpful.
Remember: a successful medical appointment isn't just about receiving information—it's also about sharing your concerns, discussing your priorities, and making sure you understand the next steps.
